Our Windshield Replacement Process

We take great care in ensuring that your windshield repair follows all manufacturer guidelines and help identify any issues we find along the way

  • Removal: We use professional tools to carefully remove the old windshield. This includes cutting under the windshield to separate it from the glue. Afterwards, we carefully remove all of the old glue as well as any glass remnants from a broken windshield.
  • Disposal: Every component is sorted and disposed of properly after removal. Windshields and glass are taken to recycling facilities, while glue remnants are bagged up and disposed of.
  • Inspection: We inspect the frame of the car for any abnormalities caused by previous repairs or manufacturing errors. In cases where we find an issue, we’ll recommend a repair before proceeding with the replacement. We insist on your car meeting all manufacturer standards for safety and reliability and refuse to just cover a problem up.
  • Preparation: We prepare your new windshield by cleaning it extensively and ensuring that any areas to be glued are free from dust, debris or oils left over from the manufacturing process.
  • Glue application: A special windshield glue is laid down as a bead on the intended surface. This glue has a long working time, allowing us to lay in and seat your new windshield properly.
  • Windshield application: The new windshield is laid and pressed down by hand. We then make sure that the new windshield is centered and equal distances from the frame of the car. We use blue painters tape (masking tape) to hold the new window in position.
