Window Tinting Services

Stay Cool and Comfortable, While Maintaining Your Privacy

During the summer months, especially in North Texas, a car’s interior can get up to 140F. The Sun’s UV rays can cause cracks and damage on your dashboard, steering wheel and other interior components, which can be an issue especially with classic cars that use older plastics. Don’t forget the extreme discomfort of having to enter your car while everything is searing hot to the touch making it difficult to drive. At Blue Star Glass™ it’s our mission to provide you with the best window tinting service to meet your budget and demands.

Window Tinting Levels

Window Tint the Way You Want It

We can provide you with a variety of window tint options such as level of tint, color and coverage. According to Texas vehicle safety laws, certain conditions must be met for window tint, but exemptions are available.

  • Windshield: Tint must be above the AS-1 line or end five inches below the top of the windshield. The tint cannot be red, amber or blue
  • Side Windows: For the front windows, a minimum of 25% or more light transmittance is required, while the rear side windows and rear window have no restrictions.
  • Exemptions: Certain commercial vehicles such as buses, taxis and limousines are exempt as well as first response vehicles (law enforcement & medical).

We provide on-site installation of window tint using our team of experts. Depending on weather, we will put up a canopy to optimize installation conditions. After a window tint application, it’s recommended you leave your windows rolled up for at least five days and not expose it to extreme temperatures or temperature changes such as hot or cold weather and direct sunlight. This will allow the adhesive to fully cure and avoid the formation of bubbles or cause the tint film to sag.
